Firefighter Risks Career to Rescue Bear Cub
Amid the chaos of battling a raging wildfire, firefighter Elena Márquez noticed movement near the flames — a tiny bear cub, trapped and crying out.
Her commander ordered her to leave it behind. The rules were strict: approaching wildlife during a fire was too dangerous. But Elena couldn’t ignore the helpless creature.
